Ralph "Bottles" Capone

Ralph “Bottles” Capone left Brooklyn around 1923 to join his younger brother’s growing crime syndicate. Like Al, Ralph was a gregarious man who loved beer, horse races, and card games. He ran several popular nightclubs and casinos and coordinated much of the outfit’s beer distribution. Thus the nickname. He did a stint in prison for tax evasion before retiring to Mercer, Wisc., where he owned a popular bar.
